U-shaped screw conveyor is a kind of screw conveyor, which is widely used in grain, chemical industry, building materials, metallurgy, mining, power and other departments, mainly used to transport small granular, powdery and small pieces of materials. It is not suitable for conveying materials that are easy to deteriorate, have high viscosity and are easy to caking and have large water content. It is suitable for conveying materials horizontally or at a small inclination angle. The inclination angle generally does not exceed 15 °.
The U-shaped screw conveyor has good sealing performance, and is suitable for occasions with large dust and environmental requirements, which can avoid the generation of dust in the conveying process.
Working principle
The screw conveyor mainly relies on the driving device to provide power. The coupling is used to connect the screw bearing for movement. The screw blade rotates with the bearing. The material generates driving force with the casing and screw blade by friction and moves forward along the bottom of the screw conveyor. With the continuous entry of materials, the incoming materials will generate a certain thrust, which greatly reduces the power consumption of the screw conveyor during operation.
